Annapolis River Boat Tour: Construction and Repairs of Chesapeake Bay Bridge and Water Resources Impacts on the Chesapeake Bay Watershed Ecosystem

Please join us on Sunday, June 9, 2019, from 1-4 pm for this rare close-up boat tour on the Chesapeake Bay along the shore and under the Gov. William Preston Lane Jr. Memorial Bridge (known as the Chesapeake Bay Bridge) (MD Route 50). Seeing the shore of our bay and the Bay Bridge from this unique vantage will be a delight for the whole family.

AWRA-NCRS is proud to be partnering with ASCE on this amazing activity.

Our tour will be led by a panel of expert guides to discuss the construction and maintenance of the bridge and the impact of infrastructure to protect and revitalize the bay's ecosystem:

  • Ruel Sabellano, Structures System Preservation, Maryland Transportation Authority
  • Simon Tseggai, Staff, MDTA Capital Committee, Maryland Transportation Authority
  • Captain John Page Williams, Senior Naturalist, Chesapeake Bay Foundation

The tour will start and end in Annapolis, MD. We will be cruising on the Catherine Marie and is operated by Yacht Charters on the Bay by Watermark.
